The Basics

What is YINL, really?

01
What exactly is YINL?
A 7-day national healthy habit team challenge, exclusive to YI members. Complete simple health-focused habits, submit proof on the YINL web app, earn points for your team, and compete on a live leaderboard against teams across India. Except we don't call them points — points are passé. We call them Broccolis. 🥦
02
When does YINL happen?
18–24 August 2026. Seven days. Seven habits. One national league.
03
Who participates?
YI members, in teams of exactly 10 members. Every member matters — every member contributes Broccolis to the team's total.
04
Why exactly 10 members?
So every team competes on equal footing. Fewer members means fewer chances to score; more members would be an unfair advantage. Think cricket — everyone has a role to play.
05
How do the 7 days work?
One new healthy habit unlocks every day, and the habits stack: Day 1 is Habit 1, Day 2 is Habits 1+2, Day 3 is 1+2+3 — and so on. By Day 7 you're practising all seven at once. We don't start over every morning. We keep adding.
06
Seven habits on Day 7 sounds like a lot — is it?
It's a sprint, deliberately — packed into YI National Health Week. The habits themselves are simple and practical. The challenge isn't perfection — the challenge is showing up every day.
07
Who decides the habits?
The habits are designed centrally under the knowledge leadership of Nutritionist Vasundhara Agrawal, based on practical habit-building principles. Everyone across India follows the same officially released challenges — future habits are never revealed in advance.
08
Where will I see each day's habit?
A new habit slot opens on the yinl.live web app the moment it's released, also shared through official YINL channels — always follow that day's officially released requirement.
The yinl.live app
09
What is yinl.live?
The custom-built web app powering the League: see your active habits, submit proof, track submissions, earn Broccolis, see team performance and follow the live leaderboard. No separate app download required.
10
How do I get access to yinl.live?
Your captain submits all 10 team members' details, including emails, through the official roster form. The YINL team provisions access, and login instructions are shared before the League begins — through your captain.
11
Do I need to log in every time?
No — once logged in, yinl.live stays available in your browser during the League. A quick email-OTP re-login is there just in case you get logged out.
12
How do I prove I completed a habit?
Each challenge clearly specifies its required proof — a photo, a selfie, a screenshot, or a short video. Complete the habit, upload the requested proof, submit. That's it.

No app download. Just yinl.live, your browser, and seven days of habits.

Playing The Game

Proof, points & the board

13
Who checks my submission?
A specially tuned AI verification system reviews submissions first — valid ones approved within minutes. Where AI can't confidently verify something, it goes to manual review by the YINL team. AI gets the first shot. Humans remain the third umpire. 😀
14
What are Broccolis?
The official scoring currency of YINL 🥦. Different challenges may carry different Broccoli values or achievement levels — scoring for each habit is shared with that day's challenge.
15
Where can I see my score?
Right inside yinl.live. The leaderboard tracks your team's performance against every other competing team across India. Someone overtakes you? You'll know. You climb five spots? They'll know too.
16
Is scoring individual or team-based?
Team-based. One person doing brilliantly can't carry nine missing teammates. YINL rewards team consistency and participation — your team is counting on you.
17
What happens if I miss a habit?
You simply lose the opportunity to contribute those Broccolis for that completion, subject to official rules. The best strategy is straightforward: show up every day.
Playing it fair
18
Can we upload old, downloaded or someone else's proof?
No. Proof must genuinely represent your completion of the activity. Downloaded, reused, manipulated or misleading proof may be rejected. 😉
19
What if a genuine submission isn't approved?
Don't panic — some submissions need manual review. If there's a genuine, unresolved issue, raise it through your Team Captain, who will use the official Captain Support channel.
20
Can a team replace a member during the League?
Yes — but there's a limit. Each team gets ONE member replacement during the 7-day League, processed officially through the YINL team. Broccolis already earned by the outgoing member stay with the team.
21
What if someone falls sick, gets injured, or can't continue?
Health comes before the leaderboard — never do anything unsafe for you. Use an officially announced alternative where one exists; the team's one permitted replacement is available for genuine cases.
22
What if I'm travelling during YINL?
The habits are designed around real life, but travelling doesn't automatically create an exemption — plan ahead and complete whatever's safely possible under the official rules.

Choose your playing XI — well, playing ten — wisely.

3
Captains & Team Management

Running a tight team

23
What is the Team Captain responsible for?
The team's main coordination point — maintaining the 10-member WhatsApp group, ensuring participant details are correct, passing on official communication, keeping members engaged, and raising support requests the right way.
24
Should every team create its own WhatsApp group?
Yes. Each captain independently maintains a group of their 10 members — the central team won't manage 150+ individual groups. Your team group is your dressing room.
25
Is there a central YINL WhatsApp Community?
Yes — used for structured national communication, with dedicated channels for different purposes rather than one giant free-for-all group.
26
Where will official announcements come?
Through the YINL Community Announcement channel and/or designated captain channels. Stay connected to the official announcement channel throughout the League.
27
What is the “YINL 2026 – Team Captains” group?
The central communication group for Team Captains only. Participants who are not captains should not join it, unless the YINL team specifically asks otherwise.

With 150+ teams, the captain structure keeps the League moving — without turning WhatsApp into cardio.

Roles, groups & support
28
Is there a separate support group?
Yes — a dedicated Captain Support / Troubleshooting Group for genuine operational or technical issues. The hierarchy: Participant → Captain → Captain Support Group → YINL Team.
29
Should teams have a Vice-Captain?
Yes — nominate one so coordination doesn't stop if the captain is temporarily unavailable.
30
Can captains add both their phone numbers?
Please use one active WhatsApp number per person for YINL coordination — multiple numbers for the same captain create unnecessary confusion.
31
How should captains/members identify themselves on WhatsApp?
Using the format: Name | Team Name | City. This makes coordination much easier when hundreds of members are interacting nationally.
4
Support & Good To Know

Ask, test & know the rules

32
I have a question — where should I ask?
Start with the YINL AI Assistant, built for YINL FAQs and general nutrition queries. If the issue needs an actual intervention — login, scoring, access, replacement — raise it through your Team Captain.
33
What is the Nutritionist Vasundhara AI Assistant?
Available on www.yinl.team — YINL's AI-powered FAQ assistant covering habits, Broccolis, teams, proof, leaderboards, yinl.live and general nutrition questions, in English, Hindi and Hinglish.
34
Will there be a test before the League starts?
Yes — a pre-launch test/demo so participants can log in, understand the interface and try submitting before Day 1. The goal: catch any login/tech problem before the scoreboard actually matters.
35
When are daily habits announced, and what's the deadline?
Release time and proof requirement come with each day's challenge. Daily submission deadline is midnight, with the next day opening at 4am — no submissions are accepted between midnight and 4am. The National Edition instructions are the source of truth.
36
Are prizes or winner categories decided?
Winner categories, recognition and any rewards will be communicated officially by the National team, if any. Until then, please don't award yourself the trophy based on Day 1 leaderboard screenshots. 😀
37
Is YINL a weight-loss challenge?
No. YINL is about healthy habit-building, not extreme dieting, crash fitness, or chasing a number on the scale.
38
Is YINL medical or personalised nutrition treatment?
No — it's a wellness and habit-building initiative. Follow your doctor's advice and participate only in what's safe for you.
39
Where did YINL begin?
YINL took its first steps at YI Kanpur, grew through chapter editions over 2 years, and spread to YI Gurugram — success that caught YI National's attention. Now becoming a national YI property.
40
What's the one thing to remember?
You don't have to be the fittest, don't need a perfect diet, don't need to transform your life in 7 days. Just show up, every day. One habit becomes two — small wins stack.

SHOW UP. EVERY DAY.
